Do you remember being a kid and pretty much (if you were fortunate) being happy all day long whenever it was a holiday, like Halloween, for example?

Well, did you ever notice that as an adult, even when it’s supposed to be a “special” time, you’re not always that happy?

I am currently on vacation in France, mostly in Paris, and I’m sure everyone who knows me thinks I am just in 24/7 bliss because I am here… well, that’s not really how adulting works, is it?

Things have happened. I got sick. I made a big mistake in a logistical thing. I got overwhelmed with so many details to juggle. I cried while sitting in a restaurant because I was so overwhelmed. I’m not saying any of this was horrible; it was just par for the course of life.

I had several days like this while I was simultaneously sick and keeping right up with the four-day road trip we were on.

You may remember from last week that I had committed to starting a daily yoni massage practice. I’ve been doing it every day!

And guess what? Yoni massage is great for stress relief! As soon as I started my practice each day, I could feel the relief. I could breathe easier and settle into my practice right away. I didn’t have any trouble focusing. And the result was that I was calmer afterward and in the “rest and digest” aspect of my nervous system, no longer in “fight or flight” like I had been.

So although I’ve only been doing this practice for a mere week, I can already report that it is an effective stress-reliever! If you’ve been considering starting your own yoni massage practice, I highly recommend it! I saw results practically immediately. I’ll tell you more next time!
