Really, do you Know How Beautiful you Are?

As promised, I will get right to saying more about each of the seven main chakras, starting from the bottom of the spine and moving up:

1.  The first chakra is red, and is often referred to as the base or root chakra.  It is associated with survival, security, and safety.  It is also the chakra at work in manifestation and sexuality (more so for women than men, as it’s where a woman’s yoni is located, although the lingam is located  a little higher up on the body).

2.  The second chakra is located at the belly area, about two inches below the navel.  It is usual called the sacral chakra.  It is linked to sexuality (for both sexes), creativity, intuition, and self-worth.  The second chakra is orange.

3.  The name for the third chakra is the solar plexus and it is located two inches below the breastbone.  It is yellow.  It has to do with personal power, ego, passions, impulses, and strength.  It is also where anger is often located in the body.  Are you starting to see the rainbow?

4.  The fourth chakra is the heart chakra.  It is green, and is located behind the breastbone.  It is the center for love, compassion, and spirituality.

5.  Fifth is the throat chakra, which is located at the v of the collarbone.  It is blue.  It is related to communication , sound, and expression of creativity.  This can come through in one’s thoughts, words, and/or writing.

6.  The sixth chakra is known as the third eye, or is sometimes also called the brow chakra.  It is indigo colored, a blue-purple.   It is located between the eyebrows (or, for those with a unibrow, right in the middle of the eyebrow ;)).  The third eye is associated with psychic abilities, higher intuition, spirit, and light.  It is said that when we meditate, we are increasing the abilities of our third eye;  when I meditate, I can feel sensation in my third eye.  Anyone else?

7.  The last chakra is the crown chakra  and it is purple.  It is located just under the the top of skull.  It is associated with spirituality, enlightenment, and connection with the Divine.  The soul both comes into and leaves the body through the crown, at birth and death.  This probably also means that when the soul leaves and returns to the body during sleep, it uses the crown chakra as a “door” as well.
