Not Just Two, but Three Types of Sacred Union
In the past, I have written about the two types of sacred union: sacred union in the one body, and sacred union in the two bodies. It is my life purpose to learn and teach about sacred union. It was recently revealed to me in a channeling session that there are in fact three types of sacred union.
In the one body, it is basically self love. In all types of sacred union, however, including the third type which I am going to introduce today, there is a recognition of the Divine within the person or people involved. So, sacred union in the one body is not simply: “Yeah, I love myself”. There is an inherent understanding that one is lovable and worthy of love because of what one is, because of his or her connection to Spirit. So, it’s more like this: “I am God/dess. God/dess is me. I am part of God/dess, and God/dess is part of me. I recognize the Divine in me and love myself.” It is a union with oneself not only because of the God/dess in oneself, but also with the God/dess in oneself.
Sacred union in the two bodies is a recognition not only of the Divine in oneself, but also of the Divine in another. And there is also an expansion that takes place in a sacred union. As I like to say, 1+1 = 4. There is a way in which the love, the Divinity, is multiplied instead of added. Traditionally, sacred union in the two bodies has meant marriage for many people. And it doesn’t have to. God/dess did not invent marriage, people did. (I could go on and on about that, and that is a topic for another blog.) Sacred union in the two bodies is a union between the two people involved and also between them and Source.
So as not to keep you in suspense any longer, I will reveal that the third type of sacred union is kind of like sacred union- cubed. It is the type of sacred union that exists in polyamory. So, there is a sacred union between person A and person B. And another one between person A and person C, for instance. And there really is no limit to that, except that we are limited here on Earth by the constraints of space and time. So, even though there may be a third or fourth sacred union in our example (person A and C, person A and D), eventually person A is going to get pretty tired and stressed out! 😉
As with all types of learning, the opportunities are endless. This stuff has gotten me to thinking: What about in a triad.? Some polyamorists live happily together as three. Is that sacred union in the three bodies? What do you think?

For me the definition of a sacred union is more than the recognition of the devine in others it is the combining of two or more life spirits and that combination makes each person better and stronger. Starting with the one body – that union with the source makes that person better and stronger. Like a couple a triad defined as three people equally committed to each person and bound by love I think can absolutely create a sacred union. What I don’t really know is if it is possible to have multiple, separate unions and create equally in each the intensity and power that defines a sacred union.

Thank you for your eloquent words about sacred union. I agree. And yes, the question of whether multiple sacred unions can have equal intensity and power is a good one. My thought is that they can- and the ego mind tends to get in the way of believing that it is possible.
